My philosophy of life follows the theories of Creative Organized
Chaos.
Being a native to the Midwest and a graduate of North Central College, I have
also attended watercolor and drawing classes from local colleges and art leagues. I attended classes in the botanical illustration
program at Morton’s Arboretum and recently attended one of Tom Lynch’s watercolor workshops. Having exhausted
the local workshops, I started teaching watercolor workshops and drawing for adults at the Bartlett, Illinois Park District
over a year ago.
I have been a member of the Dupage Art League for years, and
I have recently become involved in the newly formed The Arts in Bartlett.
**Some Feedback**
" Gayle, your work is feminine without being foo-foo, you have a wonderful sense of color
and whimsy."
A student in one of my watercolor workshops
"Your florals are impressionist with delightfully harmony of color and tone. Your dragons
and other beasties demonstrate your whimsical nature and sense of adventure."
From a client
"You can almost hear the waves on the beach and feel the tropical breeze."
The art judge for the award winning Bali Ha I
I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands.
You need to be able to throw something back.
